FlowPing Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

FlowPing – Smart Focus Management (“the Extension”) provides Pomodoro-style focus timing, random alerts, and white-noise playback. The Extension does not collect, sell, or share personally identifiable information.

2. Information the Extension Collects

The Extension does not transmit any user data to the developer or third-party servers. No analytics SDKs, advertising services, or tracking scripts are used.

3. Local Storage

To keep your settings and current session available after you close the browser, the Extension stores the following in chrome.storage.local:

• Focus length, random alert interval, long-break duration, alert volume, white-noise choice
• Theme preference (light/dark) and language preference
• Current timer snapshot (remaining time, phase type)

All data stays on your device. You can clear it at any time via Chrome’s extension storage controls.

4. Permission Usage

• storage: Save and read local settings and timer snapshots.
• alarms: Maintain timers, random alerts, and long breaks even when the popup is closed.
• notifications: Show system notifications when focus sessions or random alerts finish.
• offscreen: Play alert sounds and white noise in the background without interrupting.

5. Sharing of Information

The Extension does not share, sell, or rent user data to any third parties, nor is data used for advertising, marketing, or credit-related purposes.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Extension is intended for general audiences and is not directed toward children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

If functionality changes in a way that affects privacy, updates will be published on the Chrome Web Store listing and this policy page. Continued use of the Extension signifies acceptance of any updates.
